SickKids, Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning Tower, Toronto, ON

One of the world’s largest children’s research centres, SickKids tower features 17 floors of lab space, and office, conference, collaborative and public areas. It consolidates 2,000 staff and many of its research departments on one site in the City’s core.

This 750,000 square foot LEED Gold facility is a major Design Bid Build project. Hanscomb’s services included Master Plan Estimating, Cost Planning and Control and Value Management for the tower and future larger hospital redevelopment.
