Intermediate Construction Loan Monitor – Halifax

 

Hanscomb Loan Monitoring Inc. offers full cost control services, scheduling, loan monitoring, value management, construction cost monitoring for large and small projects across Canada. Our Atlantic operation has immediate opportunities for an Intermediate Construction Loan Monitor to be a part of its expanding office. Preference will be given to applicants who reside in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick.

Ideal candidates will have a background in construction costs, materials & practices, proficiency with Microsoft Office products, ability to multitask several projects, commitments to meeting deadlines and an attention to detail and numbers. This job requires the physical ability to navigate safely on working job sites and knowledge of construction progress. A valid driver’s license is required as site travel is involved; candidate will be responsible for transportation.

Hanscomb Limited has an immediate opportunity for an experience, career focused Senior Mechanical Level Cost Consultant / Quantity Surveyor to be a part of its Ottawa Team. Candidates should have completed a related post-secondary architectural program and an understanding of the Canadian construction market and various practices used within it.  Preferred applicants will be a member of the CIQS or an equivalent organization and possess a desire towards attaining their PQS, CEC, or related designation.

Job description

  • Preparing Construction Cost Estimate reports at all stages of design of projects throughout Canada
  • Leading cost estimate production, ensuring that the team delivers on their accountabilities
  • Taking ownership of and presenting the final deliverable
  • Assisting in research related to construction market conditions throughout Canada, including analysis of official published data
  • Assisting in developing new business opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Taking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
